Grandma’s House of Hope (Hope Works Program) – Building bookshelves for the Children’s Community Library 4/21/21

“As we all know, children are our future. So what better way to invest in their precious lives than to provide more room to hold books that can open the mind, nurture the heart and change the future for the better. Grandma’s House of Hope provides safe, confidential emergency and transitional shelter / housing for women & men 18 and older who are experiencing homelessness and in need of trauma informed care and support. They also provide healthy meals to children and families living in motels, low-income housing or experiencing homelessness, on weekends and during school breaks. They alsooffer at-risk youth after school programs with tutoring, homework support, mentorship, and exposure to STEAM activities as well as providing adult education, early childhood development, and health and wellness classes to surrounding communities. It was an honor and a privilege to be a small part or their great work!”
